Work... is over. :) The Movie People did actually decide to answer the phone, but that was about as far as my prayers took me. No purchasing tickets over the phone. Must stand in line and take chances with everyone else. Ah, well.

Prayer to the God of Movie Theaters:
O, Blessed Lord.
We have to go to Tupelo today to pick up Final Fantasy X because they will only hold it for 48 orders (and we pre-ordered, dammit!). The Tupelo movie theater websites don't even show that Lord of the Rings is playing. But it is. But no one at the theater will answer the goddamn phone.
Please make them answer the phone and allow us to reserve tickets. Pretty please, with sugar on top, and a cherry.

Today is a Laaaazzzzy day. I like those.
This morning I had to type up my job description, which was interesting. I never actually thought about all of the things that I do in one big lump before. When you make a big list, I suddenly sound incredibly important. On the other hand, according to the JAQ (that's the name of the form - I can't remember what that stands for), 2-3 important duties is average normal, and some jobs have as many as 10. A few jobs may have more than 10. I had...(counting)...20. So I'm thinking raise would be nice. Because 20 is a LOT. And we weren't stretching them. We lumped several things together under blanket phrases like "seasonal projects" and "correspondence." But no one will TELL me if I'm getting a raise, or just a new title. I am all about the new title, though. Data Entry Supervisor just doesn't cut it on a resume. But i'm also poor as all hell, so raise would be nice.
On on a completely unrelated subject- I haven't read a book in about two weeks. ME. What the HELL? Even before that, reading was sporatic at best. One of my ideas for the site was to keep a log of everything I read, with reviews and recommendations and whatnot. So... what the hell? There's been Library stuff, class stuff, Christmas stuff, and company. Not to mention the website of doom. And there has to be some tv in my life, and I have to eat. Plus, Boyfriend. There has to be cuddle time. Its weird though, and I don't like it.

Everyone in my office got a bottle of wine, except for me.
It's a nice wine, too. Enate, 1999. I've had the 1997 and its one of the best under $20 wines I've had.
I'm not sure who the culprit is yet. But. Everyone in the advising and dean's offices got one. Despite the fact that my office is actually down the hall a bit, I am technically a part of both offices. That is so rude. ¶ 12/17/2001 01:32:00 PM
