I found an mp3 of Bon Jovi doing the theme to the Sopranos on AudioGalaxy. Tee! I think that's one of the greatest things ever.

I really really love the Sopranos. I'm not even done watching the first season yet, and I love that show. (Why haven't I finished, you ask? Well. That's a long story involving a Tale Of Two Video Stores, a $58 late fee, and a serious lack of having time and money at the same time). The show makes me feel... comforted somehow. Safe.

I had a thought about Jersey. It's actually not so unlike the south as you might think. WAIT-- DON'T SHOOT. Hear me out before you open fire. I'm talking about Jersey women (not Jersey girls. That's a whole nother thing), and hospitality. Give the South some funny accents. Wait. Ok. Give the South some different funny accents, and an attitude. Then you have Jersey. Southern women have the bitchy thing down- it just has a charm to it that replaces the attitude thing. Take that away, and there you go.

Alicia has this theory that if you're from New Jersey, you can have someone killed with 2 phone calls or less. And, well... you know. I kinda don't disagree with it. And Ryan is from Jersey. (Do you see what I'm getting at?). Despite the family politics and the fact that Tony Soprano cheats on his wife, etc., there's this underlying love. It's a story about a family. And they may have their own problems, but NO ONE FUCKS WITH ONE OF THEIR OWN. If you do, you're toast. And that makes me feel safe. Not that I'm saying Ryan would have someone killed. That's not what I'm getting at, because that's retarded. It's a symbol. But I like what it stands for.

I am having New House Furniture Lust. Alicia says that I'm turning into a yuppie. Well, maybe. But I'm tired of having ratty stuff that doesn't match, or that's falling apart. For instance, an entertainment center made of real wood instead of the cardboard crap you can buy at Walmart. Is this too much to ask? I am 23, a college graduate, and have a job, dammit. I want proper living room furniture.

So I'm spending my time on the IKEA website, and making a Target wishlist, and every now and then darting over to sites like Potterybarn, which I cannot afford and probably never will. But even when I'm doing harmless things, like drooling over Kingdom Hearts, little things pop into my head. Like how a bean bag would be nice. We could put it in the corner, or under the window for Puck, and then pull it out for when we play playstation. Right now, we drag out kitchen table chairs. But in the new house, that would look silly. The living room is smaller, so a regular chair would block the view of someone sitting on the couch. And bean bags are comfy.

Of course it has to be a nice beanbag. No cheap plastic covered sack for me. Because I want nice furniture, and bean bags aren't really nice. So, I start wondering if they have beanbags covered in something nice. Maybe a brushed velvet...maybe a light lemon color, or a blue. Something to bring out the accent colors in the pillows that are on my couch.

And then I think, OH! I can go look online. Maybe they have something at ... D'OH! I MUST WORK. I HAVE A JOB. WILL NOT HAVE HOUSE OR FURNITURE IF I DO NOT RECEIVE PAYCHECK.

I can't wait until this whole moving business is over.

The first review has been posted. Check it out.
Do you know what isn't nasty? Equal. I have this massive hate on for artificial sweetener. It usually makes me ill to my stomach. However, the work coffee tastes like ass. It MUST have sugar. And there was only about 3/4 of a teaspoon left in the jar. Half a packet of Equal and 3/4 tsp. sugar are in my coffee, and its actually not disgusting.

  I am going insane.

I finished my book yesterday, which was the second in a trilogy. And I don't actually own the third book. I went to the library at lunch, and not only do they not have the book, their computers are down. So it's impossible for me to see if 1) it's checked out; or 2) they don't have it, but another library in the network does and they can order it for me. DAMMIT. It's so GOOD. There are draggies and pirates and unrequited lurrvve. If I wasn't so goddamned broke, I would just hie myself off to Waldenbooks and buy the damn thing. However, the pocketbook level is very low for the next two weeks, so that's kind of not an option.

Unless I just do it anyway.
Beware of rambling, babbling, sillyness, really long yet grammatically correct sentences, and occasional bouts of wisdom.
